Weekend Wanderlust (vol 56)

What are you up to to this weekend? I’m recovering from foot surgery and taking it easy this month, watching lots of terrible television and remaining blissfully ignorant of the dropping temperatures outside. (I kind of don’t want to admit it, but I haven’t left the apartment in almost a week!)

– Gorgeous bits and pieces of Los Angeles

– Also: Kim Gordon on Growing up and Eating in LA

– What?? Don’t look at me like that. This is totally wanderlust-worthy

– A rock wall sprouted up out of the ground after the New Zealand earthquake

– Have you seen this post from a while back about the A Christmas Story House? (maybe it’s one of those movies you have to first see when you’re young to fully appreciate, but nonetheless, I recommend it if you haven’t seen it)

– Delightfully weird street art in Havana

– When I read the headline, I couldn’t help picturing this Krampus vs teenagers story playing out like a Buffy episode

– Sobering and fascinating interviews with North Korean defectors

Light installations in Spain that are straight out of a vintage sci-fi movie

– All of the 2016 Holiday Gift Guides are up! See them all here
