The Eco Luxury “Shipwrecked” Hotel in Ubud, Bali

Shipwrecked on a desert island, I’d like to imagine that my lean-to would look something like the villas at Bambuh Indah in Ubud, Bali (apparently Ubud has a near monopoly on fabulous hotels).
This eco-luxury hotel includes 11 antique Javanese homes with modern updates and luxury touches. Rates start at around $100 and even the delightfully ramshackle pagoda is under $400.
Obviously, my ill-fated ship would have been carrying soaking tubs and fine linens.
Yep, not in a any hurry to be rescued from my desert island.
Sure, it’s not showering under waterfall, but these rustic chic bathrooms are pretty perfect.
Having posted nearly half the photos from their website –which, believe me, is an exercise in restraint– I’ll leave you to plot how best to arrange being shipwrecked here.
