Best Christmas Candles 2020
Nothing evokes Christmas more for me than scent! Pine needles, cookies baking, crisp snow and warm fireplaces. I love walking into a home that smells like Christmas, so you can bet I’m obsessive about stocking up on Christmas candles. Here’s my picks for the best Christmas candles for your home this year:
These heavenly French candles are my favorite splurge! With their heady botanical scents, Diptyque candles and home scents are a sophisticated touch to your Christmas decor, and are a much-appreciated hostess gift. Try their Pomander scent for a vibrant spiced Christmas orange, and Vanille and Noiseter for fantastic earthy, spicy scents that recall a touch of autumn.
Yankee Candles are a classic for a reason! They’re reasonably priced and smell great, with nice scent throw and a long burn time. Favorite scents this year include Sparkling Cinnamon, and Balsam Cedar.
I’m smitten with the utterly gorgeous, modern-organic packaging of Thymes candles and diffusers! They look incredible with your decor, and smell just as amazing. Trust me, you will want that Frazier Fir sink set to go with your candles for Christmas. Thymes candles have a bit of cult following, and it’s no surprise given the great scent throw, mid-range pricing, and high quality.
Another spurge that’s so worth it, Jo Malone’s candles are complex and elegant; pure luxury for those cold winter nights. In addition to the Orange Bitters and Pine & Eucalyptus Christmas candles, be sure to try the Mimosa and Cardamom scent. I love using cardamom in holiday cookies, and this scent is pure Christmas for me.
Can’t choose a scent? That’s ok, Woodwick has you covered with their “Trilogy” candles. The Christmas candle has you covered with three classic scents: Cinnamon Cheer, Frasier Fir & Candy Cane Cupcake. The price is great for 130 hours burn time, and their candles are fantastic quality with details like wooden wicks and soy wax. Be sure to check out their other trilogy candles as well!
Voluspa makes beautiful bohemian candles with complex, exotic scents that are a favorite at Anthropologie. They’re always got some Christmas scents every year, but many of their scents are amazing for the holidays. Try Baltic Amber, Gilt Pomander & Hinoki, and Japanese Plum Blossom for rich, holiday ready scents.
Nest Fragrances’ minimalist candles with festive gold touches are made for the holidays, and you’ll love their take on holiday scents. Try their grown-up bourbon and caramel infused Sugar Cookie scent, or Holiday, a fresh, sparkling take on orange and spices.
