Can anyone else relate to squinting at the baggage carousel, trying to determine if that generic dark colored bag is your bag? I’m all about bright, eye-catching bags lately! In addition to being a breeze to spot, thieves are less likely make off with a bag that sticks out–because, really, how are they going to play off taking the only bright pink floral bag with “Oh, I thought it was mine”?
With that in mind, here’s some of the colorful bags I wish I were toting around. Above, Flight 001’s F1 Cargo bag looks like it will take a beating from baggage handlers, and comes in the perfect highlighter yellow hue.
This rose pink weekender from Herschel Supply Co is so, so pretty. I keep explaining to my brain that I don’t need it, but then I look at the photo again and have to start all over. Something about that shade just grabs me. (update: someone else must have agreed, because the bag I featured is sold out, but this lilac number form Herschel is awfully pretty as well)
Safety-vest orange might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you can’t argue that Samsonite’s Flite bag will blend in with other bags.
The gorgeous Cascade Floral bag from Ted Baker isn’t too large of a departure from basic black, yet there’s no mistaking it for anything else.
Traveler’s Choice tactfully calls this pattern Bohemian. I’m fairly certain I had a Trapper Keeper with this print in the 80s, but if you’re looking for bright and unique, this is where it’s at.
Lojel’s Groove luggage comes in bright yellow and pink in addition to the pretty aqua hue (and even though I featured the aqua, I’m secretly lusting after the pink version).
Tomato red luggage with the quality of Victorinox Swiss Army (and it’s on sale right now!)
And finally, that bright pink floral bag I promised you. This beauty is from French West Indies.
